Celina Jesionowska first represented Poland in international track athletics at the 1954 European Championships, where she was fifth in the 4x100 metres relay with Maria Ilwicka, Barbara Lerczak, and Maria Kusion, and reached the semi-final of the 100 metres. At the 1958 edition, however, she won a bronze medal in the relay with the same squad as in 1954. Jesionowska and Lerczak (now Barbara Janiszewska) then teamed up with Teresa Wieczorek and Halina Richter to win bronze again at the 1960 Rome Olympics. Jesionowska was also eliminated in the semi-finals of the 200 metres.
Jesionowska concluded her international career at the 1966 European Championships by competing in the 400 metres. Domestically, she won seven Polish titles, three in the 400 metres (1964-1966) and four in the 4x100 metres relay (1957-1960). By career, she was an accountant.
Personal Bests: 100 – 11.8 (1958); 200 – 23.8 (1960).
