Austrian boxer Eduard Kerschbaumer was national featherweight champion in 1947 and 1948, and lightweight champion in 1950. He was selected for the featherweight division at the 1948 London Olympics. He reached the quarter-finals and was beaten by the Argentinian Francisco Núñez by a decision. In 1951 Kerschbaumer lost his bout on an international match against Germany to Günther Heidemann. Kerschbaumer never turned professional.
