Boxer Egon Rusch was Austrian champion in welterweight (1955), light-middleweight (1956 and 1958), middleweight (1957 and 1959), and light-heavyweight (1963). He was selected to represent Austria in the middleweight division at the 1960 Rome Olympics. Unfortunately, he lost his first-round bout to South African Frik van Rooyen.
