Biography

Tommy Lalande was a South African long-distance runner who competed in the marathon. Lalande ran in the race at the 1936 Berlin Olympics where he finished 27th, almost half-an-hour behind the winning time. He later moved to England where he died in Poole, Dorset in 1983.

Personal Best: Mar – 2-36:18 (1936).
