Biography

In the 1920s Cecil McMaster was one of the best racewalkers in South Africa and competed at two Olympic Games. McMaster took part in the 3 kilometres and 10 kilometres race walk events at the 1920 Antwerpen Games where he finished in fourth place in both. Four years later he participated in the 10 km walk at the Paris Olympics and won the bronze medal.

Personal Best: 10kmW – 45:04.6 (1924).
