Biography

Reuben Povey was a South African track and field athlete who specialised in sprinting. Povey ran in the 100 metres and the 200 metres at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, reaching the semi-finals in both races. Povey was only 29-years-old when he died in November 1918 from Spanish flu.

Personal Bests: 100y – 10.0 (1913); 200 – 21.9y (1908).
