Biography

Matthew Steytler was a South African long-distance runner who was active during the 1920s. Steytler ran in the marathon at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. He finished in 40th in a time of 2-57:21, almost 25 minutes behind the winning time of Bouguera El Ouafi.

Personal Best: Mar – 2-41:35 (1928). Had only one arm.
