The following year Stupart became the South African hurdle champion, retaining his title in the following two years. He did not take part at the national championships in 1907, as it was the day before his wedding, but Stupart returned in 1908 to win the hurdles title once again.
Stupart was the flag bearer at the Opening Ceremony at the 1908 London Olympics. He finished in 10th place in the triple jump with 13.40 metres, and ran in the 110 metres hurdles, but was eliminated in his heat. Stupart was also scheduled to compete in no fewer than 10 other events at the London Games, including the 400 metres, high jump, long jump, and shot put, but he did not start in any of those disciplines. After the Olympics he worked as an accountant for the Transvaal railway.
