Swiss track and field athlete Walter Strebi represented Luzerner SC in the 1920s. Strebi ran in the 100 metres at the 1924 Paris Olympics where he qualified from his heat to advance to the quarter-finals, but did not start in the second round of the event. He was also scheduled to run in the 200 metres and the 4 × 400 metres relay in Paris but did not start in those either. Four years later he was named as an alternative on the Swiss team for the 4 × 100 metres relay at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, but did not run in the heats or the final. Strebi was the brother-in-law of Hans Erni, a renowned Swiss artist.
