Sweden’s Erik Frisell was a track and field athlete who mainly ran middle-distance events. At the 1912 Stockholm Olympics Frisell competed in the 800 metres, finishing in joint-third place in his heat, but did not advance to the semi-finals. He was also scheduled to run in the 400 metres but did not start the race. At the 1913 Swedish Championships Frisell won gold in the 400 metres and silver in both the 800 and the 1,500 metres.
