Biography

Johan Lindqvist was a Swedish long-distance runner. Lindqvist was listed to compete in the five miles race and the marathon at the 1906 Intercalated Games but did not start in either event. Two years later he did run in the marathon at the 1908 London Olympics but did not finish the course. Later Lindqvist emigrated to the United States where he used the name John Lindquist. He was affiliated with the Swedish-American Athletic Club based in New York and died in Butte, Montana, in 1958.
