Biography

Swedish all-round track and field athlete Sven Lundgren represented Gefle IF in Gävle. Lundgren won the national title in the decathlon in 1927 and followed that with the national pentathlon title the following year. His final title came in 1932 with victory in the 110 metres hurdles. Lundgren competed in the decathlon at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics where he finished in 14th place, which included winning the 1,500 metres.
