Eric Ny was a Swedish track and field athlete who represented IK Mode in Stockholm. Ny was a specialist in middle-distance running and became the national champion in both the 1,500 metres (1931) and the 800 metres (1936). He ran in the 1,500 metres at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics and the 1936 Berlin Olympics, finishing fifth and eleventh, respectively. He narrowly missed out on a medal at the 1934 European Athletics Championships in Torino when he came fourth in the 800 metres. Ny was only 35-years-old when he died in a sailing accident in September 1945.
