Biography

Roy Syversson was a Swedish track and field athlete who represented Köla AIK where he specialised in racewalking. In 1963 Syversson became the Nordic champion in the 50 km walk, earning himself a place on the Swedish Olympic team. At the 1964 Tokyo Games he finished 24th in the same event, which took place in torrential rain. The same year he won bronze in the 20 km and silver in the 50 km races at the Swedish championships, before winning silver at the 1965 Nordic championships in the 50 km.
