Biography
Petr Čech was a Czechoslovak athlete who specialised in the hurdles, winning several domestic championships in the 1970s. Čech finished in eighth place in the 110 metres hurdles at the 1972 München Olympics. At the 1974 and 1978 European Athletics Championships he reached the semi-finals in the same event. After finishing his competitive career Čech became a youth coach.
Personal Best: 110H – 13.5 (1973).
