Biography

Born in 1901 Czechoslovak long-distance runner Josef Eberle represented VS Praha. Eberle ran in the marathon at the 1924 Paris Olympics. The race started more than two hours late to try to mitigate the impact of the extreme heat, with Eberle being one of the many runners who did not complete the course.
