Biography

Jan Kalous was a Czechoslovak athlete who specialised in long-distance running. As a member of SK Hradec Králové Kalous mainly ran in races from five to ten kilometres. He was selected to run in the marathon at the 1924 Paris Olympics but was one of the many who did not finish the course. Kalous also played football in Hradec Slavia.
