Jindřich Roudný

Jindřich Roudný is best known for winning the steeplechase at the 1950 European Championships, in a Czechoslovak record time of 9:05.4. For this, Roudný was world ranked #1 in 1950, although his time was only third on the year list. He also competed at the 1946 Europeans, placing seventh in the steeplechase. Roudný failed to get out of the heats at the 1952 Olympics. He was Czechoslovak champion in the steeplechase in 1946-48, 1950, and 1953, and won the 5K title in 1959. He competed in 10 internationals for Czechoslovakia between 1947-53.
