Félix Mata was a sprinter who competed at the 1972 München Olympics for Venezuela. He was the 100 metre champion and the 200 metre runner-up at the 1973 Bolivarian Games. In 1971 he won the South American title at 100 metres. Mata ran the 4x400 relay at the 1974 Central American and Caribbean Games.
