Trịnh Thị Bé

Trịnh Thị Bé was a Vietnamese track and field athlete who specialised in middle-distance running events. In 1976 Trịnh won a medal in the 1,500 metres at the Vietnamese Athletics Championships. From there she became part of the national athletics team, running in the same event at the 1980 Moskva Olympics. Three years later she ran in the 800 metres at the World Championships in Athletics in Helsinki. Her best record came at home, winning five consecutive national titles at the Vietnamese Championships from 1981 to 1986. Following her retirement Trịnh worked as a coach for the Vietnam People’s Public Security team.
