Neacșu Șerbu, from Târgoviște, won the Romanian lightweight championship in 1952. In that same year, he was selected to represent his country at the Olympic Games in Helsinki where he lost in the first round of the light-middleweight competition to Pentti Kontula of Finland. Șerbu went on to win two more Romanian titles one weight class up in 1959 and 1960 before becoming a boxing trainer for the Steaua Club in București. Deceased, date unknown.
