Biography

Ture Wersäll won a bronze medal in tug-of-war at the 1906 Athina Olympics. The Swedish team lost its opening match to the Greek team, but then defeated Austria for the bronze medal. Wersäll was mostly known as a gymnast, representing the Stockholms Gymnastikförening. He had two brothers who competed at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics – Claës-Axel Wersäll won a gold medal in team gymnastics, while Gustaf Wersäll competed in the modern pentathlon. Their father was Claës Wersäll, who was minister of state, and finance minister in Kopparberg and Västmanland County.
