Biography
Alfons Schöne fenced for the Deutsch-Italienischer Fechtclub Berlin. He was named to the 1900 Paris Olympics by the Deutscher und Österreichischer Fechterbund (DÖFB) and was the first German fencer to participate in the Olympics. He fenced in the sabre individual, but did not advance to the second round.
