Stefania Biegun competed in cross-country skiing for Poland at the 1960, 1964, and 1968 Winter Olympics. She was a 26-time Polish Champion, while competing for the clubs AZS Krakow (1958-60) and Start Zakopane (1961-70). Biegun was champion at the 1962 Winter Universiade in the women’s 8 km race, and added a silver medal that year in the relay. She had numerous top 10 finishes in World Cup events.
BIegun graduated from the School of Physical Education in Krakow. She later became a trainer in Zakopane and Wetlinie. In 2013 Biegun was made an Honorary Member of the Polish Ski Association.
