Andrea Fendt is the sister of the current president of the Fédération Internationale de Luge de Course (FIL) Josef Fendt. She had her biggest moments as a luger winning three consecutive National Championships between 1977 and 1979 and also as runner-up at the 1978 World Championships. At the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Games she finished 12th in the women’s singles event. She spends her leisure time with swimming and cycling but much of her free time is spent cultivating cactuses.
