Karin Jäger participated in three consecutive Olympic Winter Games, representing West Germany as a cross-country skier from 1980-88. Although she was not successful internationally, she was West Germany’s best female cross-country skier during the 1980s. In total, she won 29 West German national titles. Jäger later graduated as a sports teacher and became a journalist with the German radio channel ARD.
