Rosemarie Sparrow’s best result was in finishing second to Isobel Roe in the downhill race at the 1948 Lowlander’s Championship at Mürren. The following month, Sparrow competed in the Olympic downhill at St. Moritz, but fell twice during the race. However, she still managed to finish with better times than her fellow Britons, Sheena Mackintosh and Xanthe Ryder. Sparrow’s brother Geoffrey was also a good skier and regularly competed in the Kandahar Cup.
