Ghanaian-born long jumper Kofi Amoah Prah represented Germany at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and finished fifth. The same year he won his only German national title. He also won national indoor titles in 1998 and 2002. In 2002 he also won the silver medal at the European Indoor Championships.
At the 2008 German nationals, Prah was tested positive for cocaine and methyl ecgonine, and was banned by the German Athletics Federation for two years. He then retired immediately from his competitive athletics career and played American football with the Berlin Rebels.
