Skating for Berliner Schlittschuhclub 1893, Winter was a three-time German figure skating champion (1919, 1920 and 1922), with three more national podium finishes. Competing at the 1928 Olympic Winter Games, she finished 18th in the ladies’ singles. She died from complications of an operation.
