Biography

French sportsman Henri Aldebert represented the Club des Sports d’Hiver de Paris in the 1920s. A keen competitor in winter sports Aldebert was one of the founders of the Fédération Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Toboganning (FIBT) in 1923. The following year he was selected to compete at the 1924 Chamonix Olympics in bobsleigh and curling. The French bobsleigh team just missed out on medal when they came fourth, where a team could consist of either four or five men. Aldebert was named as a substitute on the French curling team that won bronze, but he did not compete in any of the matches.
