Biography

Stig Andersson was a right winger who competed at the 1936 and 1948 Winter Olympics for Sweden. He also skated at the 1938 World Championships and represented Sweden from 1933 to 1950. Stig was the older brother of Åke Andersson, who competed in ice hockey at the 1948 and 1952 Winter Olympics. Stig Andersson played bandy and football at the national level. He spent most of his career with Hammarby IF, but in 1946 switched to Atlas Diesels IF, finishing out his career with them in 1950.
