A defender, Sture Andersson played his entire career from 1970-84 with MoDo AIK. With MoDo, he won the Swedish title in 1979. Andersson was capped 34 times with the Swedish national team and won an Olympic bronze in 1980, World Championships bronze in 1979 and European Championships bronze in 1979. After his playing career, Andersson worked as a coach with MoDo AIK, coaching mostly MoDo’s junior and youth teams.
