Alexander Bau was a German luger who finished 15th at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics in the men’s singles. His best year was in 1989 when he finished second in the overall World Cup. He never won a national title as his career was overshadowed by Georg Hackl and Jens Müller. Bau later became a physiotherapist at Sehmatal in Saxony.
