Little is known about John Berger, a cross-country skier from Norrbotten County in Northern Sweden. He won a bronze medal in the 1936 Winter Olympics with Sweden in the relay. In the same year he ran the first leg with Jokkmokks IK’s team winning the Swedish Championship in the relay. One year later he was runner-up in the Swedish Championship over 15 km behind his relay teammate from Berlin Martin Matsbo.
