Biography

French sportsman Jacques Bridou was a skilled bobsledder who competed during the 1930s. At the 1934 World Championships Bridou was part of the French team that won bronze in the four-man event. Two years later he competed in the two-men and four-men events at the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Olympics, finishing 14th and 9th, respectively. Bridou later became a member of the French Resistance during World War II, which saw him captured in 1942, before managing to escape to Algeria via Spain.
