Alois Cetkovský was a football player who began playing ice hockey in 1927 with SK Prostějov, but continued playing football until 1933. He had a long hockey career, lasting until 1951. He was mostly with SK Prostějov but had a few seasons with SK Slavia Praha and LTC Praha. Cetkovský played center and right wing. He skated at the 1936 Winter Olympics, the 1932 European Championships, the World Championships in 1933-35, 1937-38, and 1940, and at the Spengler Cup in 1939, helping Czechoslovakia win bronze medals at the 1933 and 1938 Worlds. As the World Championships doubled as the Europeans in that era, he earned six medals at the Europeans, with gold in 1933, three silvers, and two bronzes. He was capped 59 times. Cetkovský later coached until 1978 and owned a sporting goods store in Prostějov.
