Biography

Karl Cordin was an Austrian alpine skier participating in the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics. He competed in the downhill and finished seventh. Two years earlier he won the silver medal at the World Championships, and won the overall downhill world cup.

Cordin won three FIS races in total, and added seven more podiums. In 1969 and 1971 he won the national downhill title. Cordin later turned to tennis and won several Masters world titles. By profession, he ran the hotel Nassereiner Hof at St. Anton am Arlberg.
