Biography

Marian Costea was a Romanian ice hockey player who played on the right wing. From 1971 to 1981 Costea was a mainstay at Dinamo București where he won six national league titles (1971–73, 1976, 1979, 1981). He represented the Romania national ice hockey team at the Olympics in Innsbruck (1976) and Lake Placid (1980). Costea was also part of the team that won bronze at the 1983 Winter Universiade in Sofia. He competed 10 times for Romania at the World Championships from 1972-1981 but always in the C Division.
