Biography

Marcel Couttet came from a sporting family. He was the younger brother of Henri Couttet, who played hockey at the 1920 and 1924 Winter Olympics, and Denis Couttet, who competed in Nordic skiing at the 1924 Chamonix Winter Olympics. A left winger, Marcel played for Chamonix HC from 1931-44 and returned for one more season in 1951/52, and skated at the 1937 World Championships. Couttet also competed in speedskating and skiing.
