Biography
Cross-country skier Edgar Eckert competed only in the individual 30 and 50 km events at the 1972 Sapporo Winter Games. His best result was 31st in the 50 km, while at 30 km he came in 38th. Eckert won eight West German titles and later coached with the Bavarian Skiing Association. He also owned a sports shop in his hometown Fichtelberg.
