Paul Ernst was an Austrian biathlete who competed at the 1964 Innsbruck Winter Olympics but did not finish the race due to a broken ski. Four years later at Grenoble he placed 40th over 20 km and 11th with the relay. Ernst also participated in the 1958, 1966, and 1967 World Championships with little success. By profession, he was a customer relations officer.
