Austrian biathlete Klaus, brother of Hansjörg Farbmacher, participated in the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. He placed 15th and last with the 4x7,5 km relay, and 49th over 20 km individually. Farbmacher became a policeman by profession but was also a larven mask carver by hobby. After his active job life, he started his own workshop producing carnival puppets in the classic Tyrol style.
