Dieter Fersch, a downhill and speed event Alpine skier from Hindelang, placed 19th in the downhill event at the 1968 Grenoble Olympics. This was his only appearance in international championships. Fersch never won a West German national title. His family owned a car dealership and he himself collected historical cars.
