Biography

Thierry Gerbier competed for France in biathlon at the 1988 and 1992 Winter Olympics. He was considered a pioneer of biathlon in France, starting with the sport as a youth in 1980. His greatest sporting achievements came at the 1990 World Championships when he won a silver medal in the relay and a bronze medal in the team event. Quiet and reserved, known as a lover of nature, he later worked for the French Nordic ski team as a technician.
