Biography

Janez Gorjanc was a Slovenian sportsman who represented Yugoslavia during the 1970s. When he was young Gorjanc showed an early talent for ski jumping and cross-country skiing, leading him to compete in Nordic combined. He participated in the individual event at the 1972 Sapporo Olympics where he came 28th in the ski jump and 31st in the 15km cross-country to finish 32nd overall. After his competitive career had ended Gorjanc remained involved in sport, with him being a keen cyclist.
