Satoshi Iwabuchi was a Japanese tennis player who played professionally from 1996 to 2009. Iwabuchi achieved a career-best singles ranking of 223 in the world in October 2003, and a doubles ranking of 125 in the world in September 2006.
Iwabuchi won his first doubles title in April 1996 in Nagoya with partner Takao Suzuki. His only ATP Tour doubles title came at the 2005 Japan Open when he and Suzuki beat Simon Aspelin and Todd Perry in straight sets. Iwabuchi won a total of 14 doubles titles with his last victory coming in June 2009 in Karuizawa with Hiroki Kondo. As a singles player he won 21 titles on the ATP Challenger and ITF Futures tours. However, he struggled at Grand Slams, never advancing past the qualifying rounds in the singles and only reaching the first round on two occasions in the doubles.
Iwabuchi had better success at the Asian Games where he won six medals including one gold and four silvers. He and Takao Suzuki played in the doubles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics where they reached the second round. At the 2000 Sydney Olympics he competed in the doubles with Thomas Shimada but lost in the first round in straight sets.
