Astia Walker was a Jamaican sprinter who ran the 200 metres at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She ran in college at Louisiana State University (LSU), winning the 1997 NCAA title in the 100 metre hurdles. She also helped the LSU 4x100 relay team win the 1996 and 1997 NCAA Championship. Walker was NCAA Indoor Champion in the 1996 4x400 relay. She started her collegiate career at Riverside (California) Community College and was inducted into the Riverside Community College Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.
Internationally, Walker helped win the 4x100 relay for Jamaica at the 1994 World Junior Championships. She took a bronze medal in that event at the 2001 World Athletics Championships. Primarily known for her relay prowess, she won gold in the 4x1 2001 Central American and Caribbean Games, took silver at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, and added a bronze at the 2001 Goodwill Games.
