Torsten Jöhncke was a forward who skated for Sweden at the 1936 Winter Olympics and also played at the 1935 World Championships. He started out with Stockholm IFK in 1930, but moved to Göta IK in 1932, playing with them until he retired after the 1945/46 season. He stayed active in the sport as an administrator.
Jöhncke was an engineer in the ore business. He was educated in England, France, and Germany, and discovered squash while living in London. He and his brother, Lennart, brought the sport back to Sweden in the 1930s and Torsten later represented Sweden in squash in the 1940s.
