Austrian ice hockey right-winger Klaus Kirchbaumer participated in the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics. His team was eliminated in the group stage. In total, he won 17 international caps, and domestically, Kirchbaumer played with Innsbrucker EV.
In 1968, Kirchbaumer opened a painting company in Innsbruck, which he was still in charge of at the time of his death in 2017. It developed into a healthy and stable company and became one of the oldest painting operations in Innsbruck. In 2005, the company was taken over by his daughter Jasmin. They implemented new ideas and techniques for modern wall decoration.
