Biography
Falko Kirsten, an East German single figure skater, came in 16th at the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics. Kirsten competed in five World Championships and six Europeans with lesser success. His best results were fifth places at the 1983 and the 1985 Europeans. From 1983-87 he won five consecutive East German titles.
Kirsten later became Chairman of the Saxon Ice Sports Association and was a technical specialist (judge) on a national and international level. By profession, he became an insurance agent.
